I took a 5 second break after the successful release of my animated short, Robots Blossom, on the High-Poly Low-Poly YouTube channel.
Now it’s back to work prepping for my next project. I spent much of the day updating the High-Poly Low-Poly site and then wrapped things up by setting up a new project shell in Unreal Engine 5.
I’m excited to create some Halloween inspired animated shorts. Well, at least one Halloween inspired animated short in time for Halloween. If I can, I’d love to get 2 or 3 animated shorts out in that time. I have a number of concepts, I just need to invent more time in the day OR get faster at the work. I wonder how hard it is to invent more time in the day?
You can see in the screenshot below that I am starting with a blank canvas, aka a blank UE5 project space. I am making a point to get better at organizing at the start of each new project. This time, I think I am starting with a better Level setup and better folder organization. I also brought in a couple of assets I expect to use. This time it won’t be robots 🙂
On to some script writing. For these concepts, I expect a script will be a bulleted walk-through of the story.
