It’s been a few years since the last Unreal Fest. What a great time to attend. There should be lots to talk about with the recent release of Unreal Engine 5.
I would imagine there will be some deep dives into the upcoming Unreal Engine 5.1 release. Possibly even a 5.1 release timed with Unreal Fest? The engine is evolving so quickly. It’s nice to finally be living in UE5 only instead of straddling UE5 and UE 4.27.
I’m particularly excited about the 5.1 updates to Nanite, Lumen and the animation tools. I’m really looking forward to Character Deformation Improvements. An ‘epic’ shoutout to the Unreal Engine team! Some of the best engineering I’ve ever seen. Thank you.
